For centuries a three legged stool has been used by milkmaids and dairymen as they sat beside their cows extracting the warm foaming milk. The three legs mean it is possible to balance the stool on an uneven surface. Very few people milk cows these days so now the stools are used as low tables, an extra seat for a child or for holding a cup of coffee and a book beside an armchair.
Made of willow legs and aspen tops these little stools have the charm of yesteryear.
